Our Classes
Discovery / Kripalu Tradition - All Levels
A gentle hatha yoga practice with a compassionate approach. It places an emphasis on meditation, physical healing, and spiritual transformation that overflows from the yoga mat into daily life.
Class begins with centering. A feeling of "coming home" within yourself.
Strengthening warm- ups ,continuing with movement and holding from one asana (posture) into another including Pranayama (breath practices.)
Some challenging asanas are added in the movement, always remembering the challenge is within your own mind & body. Ends with restful Savasana.
(Discovery & Kripalu are a Hatha Yoga)
Yin Yoga - All Levels
Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.
We can remain in the postures anywhere from one to several minutes. Yin and yang tissues respond quite differently to being exercised. You need to experience this to really know what Yin Yoga is all about. After you have experienced it, even just once, you will realize that you have been doing only half of the asana practice.

Meditation / Yoga Nidra - for everyone
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. from Ekhart yoga
