Beverly ChandlerCertified Kripalu Yoga
Teacher
RYT - 200
Beverly Chandler is a Kripalu Tradition yoga instructor who earned her certification at Discovery Yoga in St. Augustine, Florida. Although Beverly practiced yoga on and off during the past ten years, she remained steadfast and consistent in her lifelong interest in health, nutrition and spiritual wellness; and generously shared her knowledge and skill with others during her journey. But it was her discovery of Kripalu yoga and subsequent teacher training in the discipline, where Beverly found her true "home" a practice that nourishes her mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Her great passion is when she works with seniors who want to do more with their bodies; the expression on their faces when they realize they can move more freely without pain brings Beverly a joy beyond compare.
"Thrilled and honored to join the Padma Yoga family," Beverly hopes to bring these possibilities to her students

I attended the Sat. (11/20/10) afternoon community yoga session with Beverly Chandler as our instructor. The class was gentle and relaxing. Her expertise is very impressive and her voice is so soothing. She is very hands on which is so helpful to those who are just starting yoga and even those who have been doing it a while. The shoulder massage at the end is heavenly. Wonderful class.

Lisa Raposo,M.Ed.
Certified Kripalu Yoga
Teacher
RYT 200
Lisa Raposo began her Kripalu Hatha Yoga journey 16 years ago due to a back injury. She has been a faithful practioner since yoga allowed her to relieve her back pain and ultimately be pain free. She also used yoga and meditation in her first career as Special Education Teacher at Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton, MA with her physically challenged students who were wheelchair bound. Yoga & Meditation brought them focus, upper body strengthening, inner peace, relaxation, concentration, body awareness, and coordinated movement with breath. She was instrumental in assisting her friend, nurse, & yogini, with her yoga book for children called "Babs & Lolly's Incredible Yoga Adventure For Kids." Lisa utilized the incredible talent and skills of her MHS students to create computer layouts and border designs for the book. Lisa continued her yoga journey by earning her Kripalu Yoga certification at Discovery Yoga in St. Augustine, Florida. Now in her retirement from education, the only teaching she plans to do will be as a part of the Padma Yoga Family - a dream she has now turned into reality! Lisa truly believes that"yoga can bring anyone with any limitations - true relief, comfort, & peace of mind." Lisa is a testament to her beliefs!
Lisa has styled her "Beginner, Mixed" class to be
"For beginner-moderate level students with focus on specific yoga techniques to connect movement to breath, using relaxation, meditation, and yogic philosophy to reach maximum physical & emotional health."
Lisa's Testimonials
Loved class this morning, in fact I love it more each time I go. I feel like I am really getting so much out of it. I am dreading having to give it up for awhile when I have my surgery. I feel so good after the class and for the rest of the day my body feels soooo relaxed. It's wonderful the way you introduce something new each week, and then when we go back over the poses we have previously done. I feel more comfortable with them and feel each time I am doing a bit better. Never dreamed I would enjoy it as much as I do! You are very patient and explain things so well. I mean every word this and more.
