Kripalu
"Yoga Basics" Series
An eight week course that will guide you step by step in how to take care of your body safely while you practice each posture with in-depth instruction. A interactive class with time for demonstrations, questions and explanations as well as learning about props, supports and limitations that you may have so you may bring yourself to a deeper knowledge in your beginning journey in yoga.
Strongly recommended for new practitioners and also for those who have never had the advantage of learning postures one by one in depth.
Note:This class series repeats every eight weeks so if you miss a class you can make it up in the next eight week series.
Also joining after the third week is not recommended. It's better to wait until the next series begins.
Gentle Kripalu(Beginners) - Breath practices for increased vitality with a gentle flow of postures. Hands on assisting and questions answered. Adding this class to your other classes is a benefit to any student but especially for beginners.
Lisa's "Gentle Mixed" - For beginner-moderate level students with focus on specific yoga techniques to connect movement to breath, using relaxation, meditation, and yogic philosophy to reach maximum physical & emotional health.
Multi-level (all levels) - A multi-level practice safe for beginners while allowing the more advanced student freedom to explore movement.
Class emphasis is on learning about your body, mind and spirit in a gentle and safe way through breath practices (Pranayama), postures (asanas) and mindful awareness (meditation).
Challenging - Multi-level with emphasis on a deeper, more challenging practice. Beginners who have been practicing regularly for 6 months or more and wishing to go to the next level will also enjoy this class.
Rest & Renew - A "very gentle" Kripalu class allowing you to release stress and tension through the gentle asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath practices),
Mind and body relax into a meditative state.
R&R is perfect for the end of your work day.
YIN
Yin Yoga is a passive practice of releasing the body into posture and holding from 1 to 3 or more minutes. This gently and gradually stretches the deep connective tissues of the body opening deep, dense, rarely touched areas. Yin targets the central nervous system and also massages the organs.
Often referred to as needleless acupuncture, it activates the meridians in the body promoting deep healing and relaxation. Yin is therapeutic in nature. A wonderful way to practice natural healing of the body and calming the mind.
"Eclectic"
A blend of traditions (styles) in one class. We may have Kripalu, Iyengar, Mandala sequences as well as Yin/Yang and Vinyasa. Specific sequences from teachers such as Seane Corn, Shiva Rae and Anna Forest to name a few. This will not be in one class but will change from class to class.
6 months prior yoga experience reccommended.
Mandala Yoga
A special yoga class in the "round", includes a slow flow, from gentle to challenging sequences including balance postures, Mandala's Surya Namaskar is a fun and different way to do Sun Salutation. Some yoga experience recommmended.

Postnatal
"Core Recovery"
For your recovery from childbirth you may come to any Kripalu multi-level class with Micki.
Gradually and safely recover your muscle tone and also your inner strength.
Note: this class limited to moms at least 6 weeks postpartum and c-section at least 8 weeks post partum.

The chair "becomes an extension of your own body" as you sit on the chair and practice.
Micki Higgins is the teacher.
